TWilight INSanity Sequel Stage True+ 121 Million ALL Clear - Hoshimi Sisters, Maiha and Tsubasa
Hey everyone, it's me again! Yeah, so this is the Sequel Stage of TWilight INSanity, the Extra Stage that takes place after the game's main story (In other words, it's just like how the Touhou games have the Extra stages).
Yeah, to get the Sequel Stage for this game, you have to update the game to Version 2.00 to get it, since the earlier versions of the game don't have the Sequel Stage.
Okay, so a bit about this run: Yeah, for the earlier part of last week, I was working on the Sequel Stage for a few days, trying to get a No Miss, as well as capturing the True Final Attack w/o using tensions. Yeah, the places where I used Tensions were for scoring purposes, to where I tend to use it on areas, where there are a lot of enemies, milk certain other areas, and speedkill other enemies (The sooner you kill an enemy, the more you get from multipliers. I do it to try to get as many 4x multipliers as possible), so I did as much I as could do for those things. Also, the last attack...
The last attack Maya uses on you has two versions, depending on how well you do. If your infection rate is less than 30%, you'll get to fight the special version of Maya's last attack. Otherwise, you'll fight the usual version of Maya's last attack. Maya's special version of her Final Attack's quite a tough one, to where it's harder than the rest of the Sequel Stage put together, I'd say.
To get the good ending, you want to pick the second choice when you are given the option to choose between two things (At least, that's true for the Hoshimi Twins). You also want to have your infection rate to be less than 50%, as well as the Twins Rate for both to be below 80% when you get done with the Sequel Stage to get the good ending... So that's a little bit about that. You can see more about that here: http://games.seiha.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=249
Also, when you get to fight both Code-0 (Black) and Code 255 (White), the midbosses for the Sequel Stage, I think you have to specifically defeat Code-0 all three times, like I did in this run, to face Code-255 (White) later on in the Sequel Stage. Otherwise, you'll be facing Code-0 (Black). I'm not entirely sure, though, since that was just my experience, so don't quote me on that one. I'm not exactly sure how the mechanics of getting to fight either one works.
So yeah, more on this particular run... Yeah, as I said, I was trying to No Miss the Sequel Stage, but the True Final Attack's a really tough one, to where it's pretty easy to make a mistake in that one. I mean, it's doable for sure, to where you can defeat the attack w/o getting hit and w/o using tensions, but it'll take a while to do, for me at least.
That, and there is a certain game I really want to do next, while I'm not too busy until later next month, as well as me wanting to give TWilight INSanity a break for now (Incidentally, I did actually give TWINS a break a few days ago, and already went on to the next game), so after a few days of working on this, I decided to give this one a break, and this Sequel run's the best I got from working on it so far.
I'll work on this one again some other time, and hopefully, the next time around, the stars will align, to where I'll get the No Miss and the True Last Attack captured w/o using tensions and not get hit at all in it. For now, though, I'm giving this a break. This run does at least No Miss and No Auto Tension up to Maya's last attack, and it does use some scoring tactics, and it got over 120 Million, so it's good enough for me, for the time being.
The next time I come back around for this game, I'll do Hard Mode Route B 1cc w/ the Hoshimi Twins, then a Normal Mode Route B 1cc No Miss to show the story of that Route, then do a Route A No Miss 1cc to show the story for that route, as well.
Also, yeah, the translations are in the annotations, so if you want to know about the story of the Sequel Stage, be sure to have it on. Most of the translations in the annotations are from the guys at Seiha Translations, so credit goes to them for it! Me, I know some Japanese, to where I can read hiragana, katakana, and some of the kanji, but I got ways to go before I could say I'm pretty good at that. Yeah, there's an English Patch for this game that's done by Seiha Translations, it just so happened, that I got this run, while playing it in the original version, so yeah.
For now, it's off to that next certain game!
