Update: This can be done in a run, however this video uses a mod. To do it in a speedrun, you will need to get storage from any wolf exept the Faron Woods wolf, simply by learning Ending Blow from it.

This could be a method for EHC if you could get Golden Wolf Storage on a file at the barrier, and warp from a file where the barrier isn't up yet.

Sadly, this does not seem to give cross-file storage.

TECHNICAL EXPLANATION:

Addresses 80406FA2 and 80406FA3 (in SD) are crucial for whether the wrong warp happens. These seem to have bit fields representing the return location.

((sorted by warp priority))
80406FA2:
4 = Ordon Springs
2 = Castle Town (West exterior)
1 = Castle Town (South exterior)
80406FA3:
128 = Gerudo Desert
64 = Kakariko Grave Yard
32 = Hyrule Castle

If none of these bits are set, it defaults to Faron Woods. Both of these addresses are zeroed out when returning to the title screen. These facts reduce EHC chances, since HC is the lowest priority for the wrong warp.

This should be possible in a normal speedrun. Obtaining Ending Blow gives you storage on that wolf. For some reason Ending Blow ignores the rules above, and will always warp you to Faron, but fails to clear storage.

For example, obtaining Ending Blow from the Castle Town (west exterior) wolf will give you a storage value of 2 on 80406FA2

Obtain ending blow from a wolf, then talk to another lower priority wolf without ever quitting to the title screen. After exiting the Hidden Skill map, you should wrong warp.

Revisiting the map with the wolf you obtained storage on will clear storage again. This allows for storage transfer. For example, getting a storage value of 2 on 80406FA2, then fighting the wolf in Kakariko Grave Yard will cause you to warp outside Castle Town and clear storage, but retain the storage of 64 on 80406FA3. This means we can chain wrong warps.
