This is for everyone who had trouble doing this by airwalking, it's way easier and more consistent this way.

Make sure you have an Aku Aku before doing this, otherwise you'll have to continue going around the mountain and it won't be a straight line anymore.
To get used to the thin mountain ledge always make sure to keep Crash's right leg inside the wall at all times.

Steps:
1. Double jump towards the left side of the entrance to
Ice Climb, then let go of the left stick and jump again.
2. Make your way on the mountain
until you almost reach the wall.
3. Long jump (double jump with as much distance as possible)
towards the left edge of the mountain in front of you,
turning slightly to the left before the jump. Aim the left stick
towards the mountain after you go around the edge.
4. Make your way to the end of the ledge.
It's pretty much an upwards straight line.
5. Drop down, go through the loading zone (Crash's
lighting will change) and slide underneath the tunnel.
6. Get hit by the bat and jump to get inbounds.
7. Continue through the tunnel.
