I picked Outlaw because the special seemed useful for a beginner because you don't have to face towards a target with the twitch movement this game offers. I had no idea the game would be this brutal, and to me the steering physics is something that's gonna take time to get used to. Luckily they designed the physics so there's very little friction with walls so it's hard to legitimately get stuck.

The pacing is obviously quick, and the CPU players all operate like how a SingleTrac TM is normally designed...all targeting you. Because of how fast and twitchy this game is, it's really hard to decipher the personality and temperament of the CPU players and even remember the layout at times (although the maps aren't really complicated at all). I found no secrets at all so unlocking vehicles is going to be rather interesting.

I'm not remotely a fan of the Warhawk battle, and I have the sneaky suspicion that I won't be able to go through this game deathless on Hard, at all...Nothing about it seems possible for me. Granted I will give this game a shot, and see what happens but there's no guarantees.

The first arena was great, so was the Prison. Everything else kinda just blended in. TM4 still has some of the best Arena design from what I've played in this series so far.

The SFX design in this game is top notch along with the GFX. The gameplay is...well not bad, but getting used to this game will take time. The reverse steering was probably the worst decision for a game like this unless they wanted to re-create how you joust an opponent. It feels ass backwards.
