TWP Going Forward: Ableton Live, Pure Data, VCV Rack, and Linux Mint
Dr. Lawrence W. Moore takes this opportunity to make an important announcement about The Wayfarer Project going forward. The channel will be expanding its scope of content and will be releasing content more frequently. Moore shows what he has been doing with his studio in preparation for this next stage. He has converted from Windows to Linux Mint and will be using Ableton Live as his main digital audio workstation software. He shows how he has integrated it with Pure Data in Linux Mint using Pipewire to get ALSA, Pulse Audio, and JACK to interact. In so doing, he can create virtual connections between MIDI and audio devices and software in many different directions. He will also be adding VCV Rack to the mix as will be providing in-depth tutorials on Ableton's instruments and effects. The exploration of sound art creation and multimedia art will be rising to a whole new level.
