Uber Offers New Drivers $1,000 in Kelowna
0Next Wednesday, Uber is hosting a "driver outreach" event in Kelowna, but some drivers have already registered online. For drivers who complete their profiles and complete 20 trips in the first two weeks of the firm's start, the company is giving bonuses of $1,000. In September, Uber submitted a request to take over the licences ReRyde had for all of British Columbia outside of Greater Vancouver. Since Uber hasn't heard from the provincial authorities, it's unclear when that will happen.
Although Kelowna and Victoria are first the emphasis.
The type of geofencing utilised in Kelowna will depend on how many drivers sign up, according to Rand. Potential drivers will have the opportunity to meet with Uber personnel who can assist them in organising their paperwork.
