Twitter Users Receive Removal Notice From Verified Accounts
0Recently, a number of Twitter users received notices that their verified accounts were being removed. As many users claimed to have received messages about being included to a "Twitter removal notice list," it appears that a new phishing scam has emerged.
The users' confirmed handle has a "Removal Notice" informing people that their account is fraudulent. It's believed that fraudsters are notifying users that they have been included to a blacklist and that in order to save their blue badges, they must file an appeal by following a link through NewAppealStart. Users should be aware that this is a fresh phishing scam and should avoid clicking on any similar links.
