31Ubisoft Reactivates stolen keys marking a win for consumers. As you may know last week Ubisoft deactivated keys bought through third party key sites claiming they were stolen.
This left many consumers without the product they had every expectation was legally obtained. Cue a big backlash for Ubisoft's rubbish handling of the situation.
Now the company has had a change of heart: "After further investigation into the matter of keys that were fraudulently purchased on EA's Origin store, we are reinstating keys for consumers who already had successfully activated and started playing the games. Any remaining fraudulently obtained and resold keys have been deactivated."
Well yes, they had little choice really when faced with the damage this incident has caused to their brand. ****
