The Unity Launcher can now be moved to the bottom of the screen (at last), unfortunately there is no convenient method to move it yet.
Your option are either Dconf Editor, or the Terminal command:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Launcher launcher-position Bottom
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Launcher launcher-position Left
I expect a more convenient method of moving the Launcher will be added to Unity Tweek tool
