so.. you don't really need 17.04 to test unity 8 you just need to install the overlay PPA and then update https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa-service/+archive/ubuntu/stable-phone-overlay and eventually unity8 session "apt install unity8-desktop-session
"

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ci-train-ppa-service/stable-phone-overlay
apt install unity8-desktop-session
apt update
apt upgrade
