Joshua Peisach announced the release of Ubuntu Cinnamon Remix 22.04 LTS as the latest version for this unofficial Ubuntu flavor with the Cinnamon desktop environment developed by the Linux Mint project.
Yes. Ubuntu Cinnamon 22.04 is now available. It's the sixth release of this Ubuntu flavor of Cinnamon and the first of the unofficial ones to appear in nearly three years.
It is currently still a “Remix”, that is, an independent project that is working to end up under the Canonical umbrella, but has not yet done so. Another one that is trying is Ubuntu Unity, whose developer is part of Canonical.
What's New in Ubuntu Cinnamon Remix 22.04 LTS
About the new features that were introduced in Ubuntu Cinnamon 22.04, we can't say much, since the release note doesn't explain much and downloading the ISO is now marking me 4 hours away from Sourceforge.
We can say a few things, like that it uses Linux 5.15 and will be supported for longer, but they don't mention exactly how long. Also that it uses Cinnamon 5.2.7, the most striking novelty of this version.

Supported longer, but Joshua Peisach, its developer, did not explain for how long. The rest of the flavors will be available by April 2023, and the remixes should be available by at least April 2024 when they release the next LTS version. Of course, if nothing makes them disappear.

Firefox is expected to only be available as a snap package, as the DEB version has been removed from the official repositories.
Peisach says he's annoyed that Ubiquity doesn't have a theme setting if you don't have Cinnamon in the background, and it's something he'll fix for Ubuntu's Cinnamon 22.04.1 release next August.
On the other hand, it says that updates of the same operating system will be disabled for a few days. When the time comes, this can be done with sudo do-release-upgrade.
“This release has been two years in the making, and I am so grateful for everyone who helped – through quality assurance/testing, bug squashing, general development, and those across the different Ubuntu teams,” said developer Joshua Peisach.
