UCL MotionInput v3.2 Compatibility Layer for Kinect Games
UCL MotionInput v3.2 Compatibility Layer for Kinect Games
A first release for enabling Kinect game repositories to have a second life after the Kinect camera. Uses UCL MotionInput v3.2 to replace Kinect gestures with other user defined gestures. Also enables certain genres of PC games to become "Kinect-like" such as driving with your hands, exercising in a fighting game with knees, kicks and punches in air, and adventure/platformer games navigated by your hand movements. Several genre apps have been developed to play.
Kinect developers can reach out to us (www.uclb.com) if they would like to develop new non-Kinect camera versions of their software for PC that would use just their webcam.
Original gesture models developed by the MotionInput 2 & 3 teams (2021-2023).
Compatibility layer with genre apps developed by Can Ertugrul, Mateusz Krawczynski and Jianheng Huo.
Supervised by Prof. Dean Mohamedally, Prof. Lee Stott, Prof. John McNamara and Dr Atia Rafiq.
Developed at Department of Computer Science, University College London
Part of the UCL MotionInput v3.2 packages.
