UD Plays Dark Souls 2 - Part Two
1Before uploading, the rendered video looks great. Smooth, sharp, clear, other positive adjectives.
But when I upload it and Youtube does its processing, the video gains all these gross smudgy-smearing blurred colors and blocking artifacts. This is despite Youtube still showing the video at 1080p 60.
To troubleshoot, I re-uploaded the Part One video privately twice more:
I've tried following Youtube's recommended encoding settings for this res. No change.
I've tried rendering at 4k to see if that tricks Youtube into processing at a higher bitrate. No change.
The big money-making Youtube channels don't have those smudgy-smearing quality problems at either 1080p or 4k. I don't know what they're doing to avoid that poor quality.
So... if anyone has an idea on how I can make my Youtube videos look better, I'm all ears. I don't know how to fix it.
