Small top-down shooter that I created to focus on particles that would keep the eye moving. The style and game-play were referenced from games such as Geometry Wars and other vintage top-down shooters. I created multiple particle effects utilizing velocity scaling and collisions to add finer detail to the game. I also created AI to track and move towards the player based on the current location of the player. Their spawns were based on a randomizer for their spawn locations. As for the the effects, I wanted to achieve an exaggerated look, so I created distant explosions in the background to give a visual variety in the foreground and background.
