note iOS is secure and privacy focused however android is similar slightly with trade offs

android version 10 and above has a privacy dashboard lower versions of android don't have that privacy dashboard in system settings

some apps on Android ask for permissions to function correctly such as GPS location and storage and contacts and camera and microphone
and messages in some apps like Facebook and messenger and Instagram and WhatsApp to name a few obviously and some additional apps will ask for access to the phone dialer as well
