ujam instruments: Striiiings, Drums & Dynamo (Demo Track)
For the last 2 days I have dealt with 3 UJam instruments. Apart from the fact that UJam are also based in Bremen, Germany - which is pretty awesome - i immediatly was kind of blown away by their approach on creating sound and allowing us to transform existing ones.
For this track i used their instruments Striiings, Drums & their finisher fx Dynamo. (+ 2 Storm Choir Ultimate Tracks & a Felt Piano. Both with Dynamo applied.)
Striiiings: UJam had access to the string recordings of Hans Zimmer. Which is pretty cool, but i still was sceptical since i own like 1268736123 string libraries - i guess the fellow composers know that problem. Still this library actually has a fresh, lovely & sometimes dirty approach on dynamic string patterns. You may notice that in this short demo track. Same with
Drums: When I began working on this dem/overview track I almost immediatly was inspired by the patterns and sound of this drum-vst. As Striiiings it's also super intuitive. And you really can't praise good UIs that actually improve your workflow enough. Oh and it's based on Hans Zimmers Recordings, too.
Dynamo: Probably my favorite one. I love messing around with sound, I love Distortion & I love glitchy stuff. It's probably my new fav plugin for these things (I still have to test throughout the next weeks during my regular work though - this also applies to the above. But i think that i'm quite good at giving an initial assessment of the potential of new VIs/Plugins for my music)
