UK troops have taken part in Exercise Platinum Lion in Bulgaria as NATO's new multinational battlegroup completed its biggest exercise yet.

Soldiers took on dry-fire combat exercises and simulated attacks with allies from the US and Bulgaria.

The battlegroup was formed to reinforce the alliance's eastern flank amid the Ukraine conflict.
