Proof that even Valve are not perfect, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero had a very troubled development. Four different teams tried their hand at making a single player game but when it finally got released the best part was, as expected, the multiplayer element. Ultimately, it was a failed experiment and had none of the flair you'd expect from Valve. Here's the opening level played by UKGN Zoidberg.
