The war in Ukraine has seen unprecedented use of drones in warfare, rewriting the playbook on using unmanned combat aerial vehicles.

With both the Ukrainian and Russian military using drones, military leaders and strategists in the west are watching the conflict carefully to learn more about the use of the weapons.

Aerial warfare expert, Dr Matthew Powel, told Forces News the use of drones has seen a form of electronic warfare emerge which may not have been predicted.
