More Avatar adventures in the 1st person. The sequel to Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss is my favorite one due to it being connected to Ultima VII: The Black Gate, and serves as a bridge between The Black Gate and Serpent Isle. Last time I played this was a year ago, and in this playthrough we made it to the 3rd world.
The Guardian, first introduced in Ultima VII: The Black Gate, summoned a dome of blackrock surrounding Castle British, trapping the Avatar, his companions, Lord British (and his servants) inside. The Avatar begins his quest to break free by traveling to various different worlds the Guardian has conquered or destroyed in an effort to escape.
