E3M7 (Episode 3 Mission 7: Gate to Limbo) - 100% Walkthrough

Hey retrogamers!

Welcome back to watch another 100% Doom Episode! This time I am going to play the seventh mission of episode 3, which is actually eight mission, and it is called Gate to Limbo. I know lot of people love this map but for me it was the biggest nightmare in Doom. I have very bad memory and remembering where to go and in which order is just impossible for me. Luckily we have all these maps, tutorials and walk throughs available in the internet these days. Nevertheless, this map I had to split into parts and save multiple times because I just couldn’t memorize all the mission.

This episode has 4 secrets but unlike my previous episodes, I am going to give you a walkthrough. Why? Because I had so much trouble with this mission myself and I want to give something back to the community so that nobody have to go through what I had to any more, ever.

But enough talking, let’s get down to business!

First clear the enemies in the starting area but beware, once you step on the brown platform, two cacodemons will be released behind you. And don’t forget to grab the munchies.

Now towards the blood ring and to the left. Kill the demons, and head to the left, kill more enemies and get the blue key. Head left and flip two switches. Go back to the center and have your rocket launcher ready. Kill everything that moves, and grab soul sphere and rocket launcher.

Now find a hallway around the star secret where armor is laying down. Once you grab the armor, another secret room will open in front of you. Get the munchies.

Return to blood ring, pass the starting area and enter the new area. There are two blue doors, take the one to the left. Across the bridge and have your bigger guns ready to kill some cacodemons.

Now fall down below and kill another cacodemon. Grab a radiation suit and head to the right first. Get the rockets and take the passage that leads to a gunman and BFG-9000. Go back to the radiation suit area and now take the other passage. Go straight, continue straight and then hug the left wall. Don’t take the teleporter and head to the left, grab the red key and all munchies you need. Open the door, flip the switch and take the passage to the left and use the teleporter from this side.

Now head right and into the blood. Behind the pillar is a teleporter. Flip the switch and kill everything that moves and return quickly because your radiation suit wears out.

Go past the star secret and head towards the blood ring. Head left across the blood and around the corner to the right is another platform which I missed. But I will be back.

The go behind the pillar on the left, kill everything that moves further away, flip the switch, hop into the blood, up the stairs and grab the yellow key. Take this teleporter in the corner.

Head back to the blood ring and go straight forward into the teleporter. Across the bridge, open this yellow door, flip the switch and return. Now you could go to the right but as I missed a platform earlier then I go there and return immediately. Now take the blue door on the right side.

Find an alcove on the right side and flip the switch. A baron of Hell will be released. Kill him. If you are not quick enough you can go back to the switch as many times as you need to. Then go behind the raising wall and flip another switch. If you are too slop, step on the red platform again.

Across the new bridge and through the teleporter and grab everything you need. Return to the blood ring, pass the starting area and head to the area where you went first. Now take the passage to the right, through the blood and use the teleporter. Now through the yellow door and I am done.

I would have been in paradise if I knew all this back in a day.

So there you go! This is how you clear this mission with 100% kills, items and secrets.
