*** 2023 SEASON CONTINUES ***
In the past several days, Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 had apparently made an update that has caused all kinds of problems and upset a lot of their players. Apparently, the developers put out another patch a few days later, but it was only a small patch as the problems they have acquired came from a disgruntled programmer that they subsequently fired. Not certain how many problems there are, but here are a few of the comments from my own viewers/subscribers"
"Well they just messed /broke the game in their latest update :(. They've messed with the fish and how they swim or something. And the rods always break now. Can't reel in the heavy fish much even if you have a heavy heavy rod. When you do manage to get some fish reeled in the pic isn't there it's invisible. I hope they put it back to the way it was if not we can only catch little fish"
"Well you have to make new videos now as they've changed the game again in their latest update and players don't like it. Rods and lines break more easily, hard time reeling in the fish and supposedly they swim faster. I tried to reel a few in by walking and reeling up and down the river but darn fish still broke my line. I had a 76lb rod and 50 something reel, heavy braided line still broke"
This is just a couple, but from what I have read in the community hub, the complaints are pretty consistent with these two.
Therefore, I decided to go to Kiel Canal to see what types of issues may be occurring. Right away, I noticed that many of the lagging issues were back! They eventually cleared up somewhat, but were a consistent problem off and on.
They were right in regards to catching the big fish. If you fished for small or medium-sized fish, the fishing was as it was before, but if you hook a large or huge fish, that's when the problem starts. I literally fought what I assume was a very large sea trout for about 45 minutes... real time, before it finally broke my line! It never seemed to tire. I have fought many fish in real life for 10 even 15 minutes, but never 45. The next fish did the same, only to break the line after about 10 minutes. Viewers have claimed that heavier gear does not help. All I know is that these fish have a ridiculous amount of stamina!
