Well, I doubt I'll reach the finesse of Firebot's playthroughs anytime soon, but I've always wanted to record a run of U.N. Squadron, so here we go. I'm playing on Hard difficulty for the first run, and I'm going to try crusader-only, maybe even without special weapons, though there might have to be a couple of exceptions. I may have to split some videos into two parts. I'll probably use savestates to save my progress so I can take this one level at a time, but never in the videos themselves.
In case you don't know, U.N. Squadron is one of the best shooters for the SNES, and my personal favorite. While in many other shooters you accumulate powerups only to lose them once you die, in this game you buy weapons beforehand and rotate between them during stages. You return to the shop after each mission, so you always have a chance to stock up again, assuming you have the cash. I'd explain more, but the videos should show you what it's like.
