Unappreciated Game Music: "Pumpkin Castle" by Tommy Tallarico (Spot Goes to Hollywood)
I decided to start a new series of videos: Unappreciated Game Music. I'll be posting music most people don't seem to care about, from games most people don't seem to be aware of.
Here's Tommy Tallarico's amazing and unappreciated music for the relatively unknown game "Spot Goes to Hollywood," often overlooked in favor to the first game involving the 7-UP mascot, "Cool Spot." This is great shame, as Spot Goes to Hollywood is a much more polished game, with very high production values in all aspects. Truly a forgotten gem of the Sega Genesis.
While the music from this game has been uploaded to YouTube at least a couple of times already, the users who did so failed to play it at the proper speed of 50 Hz, so all the music is way too fast. That just makes me cringe.
So here's the music how it was MEANT to be played and heard, at 50 Hz, and in high quality via the VGM rips I created for Project2612.
This is one of my favorite video game scores of all time. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
(Note: I am aware of all the unnecessary loops, but I don't care. This music deserves at least a couple of listenings.)
