Unauthorized Transmission (Original Techno song)
Back around 2002, when I first got Screenblast ACID (early version/precursor of ACID Music Studio) at the US Navy Exchange in Yokosuka, Japan, I also bought a shortwave radio with the intent of being able to listen to long-range shortwave broadcasts, even when my ship was way out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Unfortunately, I failed to account for how much electromagnetic interference all the ship's communications & radar equipment would generate, and when I tried to tune in the BBC or other DX stations, all I got was either coded signal transmissions, or harmonics of various radar pulses.... And the inspiration to fire up my personal computer & throw together a techno mix inspired by the various data/code transmissions that foiled my DX session.
