Today IDED Unboxes the Oculus Rift CV1 (Consumer Version 1) and test drives it using Dream Deck a set of short experiences that demonstrate the new Oculus Rift's system and abilities in a casual and easy to handle manner.

After previously owning the Oculus Rift DK2 (Development Kit 2) I can clearly see the substantial improvements made in this new piece of hardware, the quality of the graphics and no longer having frame tearing during rapid movements really does increase the feeling of immersion from the headset not to mention the built in headphones that allow spatial sound to give the end user a real sensation of actually being present in the environment.
