Unboxing The Art of Point & Click Adventure Games by Bitmap Books!
46I unboxed one of the best books about retro adventure games out there! The Art of Point & Click Adventure Games by Bitmap Books is a hard cover book packed with the classic pixel art we love from the best old games (but HD!) and tons of interviews from the people who made the games too. I reached out to Bitmap Books and they were nice enough to send me a copy of the book to open on stream and review!
We've been playing so many of these games on the channel lately (King's Quest, Monkey Island, The Dig, Full Throttle, Space Quest, Maniac Mansion...) and it has been a huge learning experience for me with regards to where adventure games started and how they've progressed over the years. It was wonderful to browse this book as a community and a huge thank you to Bitmap Books for sending it my way!
