Note: This is a full Platinum run of the Legacy of Thieves Collection

The Uncharted series has indisputably had a massive impact in the world of gaming. This ranges from the well written and executed cinematics and storytelling to level design, exploration and traversal and thrilling combat. What it has managed is to breakthrough the ineviatable Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider comparisons with relative ease and become it's own landmark series - one that will make you laugh, feel the heartache, excitement and drama.

The globe-trotting adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake have taken him in search of El Dorado, Shambala, Iram of the Pillars and now Henry Avery's pirate stash - this time joined by his long lost brother Sam, and they're up against obsessive former partner Rafe and the mercenary forces of Shoreline - headed up by the ruthless Nadine Ross.

The first thing you will notice is how stunning the graphics are. Character models looking almost lifelike in their movements and expressions. Set pieces are vast and finely detailed - as well as more open than they have ever been - varying from caverns to desert to grassland - and it's a joy to jump, drive and swim through the areas. Controls handle like previous games in the series (if they ain't broke...) and there is the addition of a couple of new tools to aid you in this, such as the grappling hook. Although this isn't an open world game, and is narrative driven - it certainly feels more free in it's larger maps. The puzzles are not too challenging either, and seemed more fun to solve than it's predecessors.

Combat is also largely unchanged, with the frantic shootouts occuring where you get spotted. You'll often have to take out as many enemies as you can from behind cover before you get flanked (Uncharted has always had great and challenging enemy AI, it's no different here).

The soundtrack is phenomenal, having been composed by the established Henry Jackson - signature stylings found in movies like The Winter Soldier and Kong: Skull Island meld very well with motifs from the original trilogy and do so much to enhance every single part of this game.

But what really stands out here is the narrative - Naughty Dog have held on to the crown of storytelling in games through well written scenes and character interaction during chapters. The pacing is superb, and although this is easily the longest game in the series, it feels like it breezes by. Whilst it doesn't quite reach the perfect heights of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, mainly because of less of the more intense action cinematics and occasionally sparse enemy encounters than in any of the other games - then it's difficult to walk away without scoring it highly.
