A solo play through using the C.U.C.U. strategy type (Cripple UK Collapse USSR). This episode we are into the summer of 1942, the Soviets recaptured 2 cities and eliminated 1 Armor and 1 Infantry unit of the Germans which the Armor is just now getting back on the board. The Axis have retaken Basra and Kuwait so the "Cipple UK" is completed. May of 1942 was Fair Weather, so the Soviet gamble for 2/3 chance of Poor has missed. The Soviets have withdrawn from exposed cities and are hoping to last out the Summer months. Armor Armies Are coming and their Air is relatively safe in the Restricted Soviet hexes. Can the Axis get the last remaining Soviet will power to 0 before 1942 ends?
Please note I had streaming issues and started this way late. then as I was reloading the game (thinking it was the start of July 42 turn, turns out I did not save after the June of 42 turn. So I replayed the June turn it went much better for the axis around the Don river (get effectively across). not as well in the North just east of Leningrad. The Soviets chose to advance to the rear, rather than be caught in open terrain south of the Don. Thus the July turn progressed differently than before.
