I am sure this will be a controversial video among my fellow retro-gamers, but in this vid I talk about why I don't buy into always having to purchase physical games to "own them", and how digital is the future for ALL video games, even your favorite Super Nintendo or Sega Saturn titles. To me, I think aesthetic appeal is getting conflated with the idea of both personal and global preservation of games. I made this video because I do think there is an underlying marketing motivation for all these retro-gaming youtubers to push this viewpoint, even when it is hypocritical and contradicts itself.
