I created this video to look into my current route's scoring potential to see if I played an ideal run, if I would be able to match the other high scores on the steam leaderboard, especially Pazzy's. So this TAS is not a perfect TAS by any means, as there are some mistakes here and there (I simply forced the game to run half speed and played at half speed). But accounting for the mistakes the final scoring potential, from what I understand, could be around 15 Billion if I did everything right. However, Pazzy has around 60 billion! I think to achieve this score Pazzy has some kind of deeper strat or exploit that he is using that I need to understand if I ever want to try and beat his steam world record score.
Personally, I think the way the steam leaderboard works for this game is extremely suspect in the way it is setup (cheating in this game is absurdly easy, just tell your computer to limit the frame rate), and there are no replays or videos for any of the other scores that are higher than my clutch shmup slam 2 run. Right now, I feel a bit frustrated because as much as I would like to pursue a higher score in the game, but it feels kind of pointless because I don't know how to beat Pazzy's insane score.
Anyway, if you watch this TAS and can clearly identify where the missing scoring strats are coming from (not just guesswork), that would be really cool!
