Here I show you how to break down what the Major Scale is and how you can find it in all 12 keys using this chart, plus I give you some insight to how to order your notes with as little redundancy as possible.

For an even better explanation of all things music theory, I highly recommend the Guitar Grimoire book series. They have about 15 volumes all featuring different things. I found the 1st volume entitled "Scales & Modes" in a box on the side of the street, and it absolutely changed my life. I also bought the 15th volume entitled "Progressions & Improvisation," and it's keeping me pretty busy.
