Phase 1 and 2 were done separately. I don't think I want to grind a consecutive run especially when there's a super long unskippable cutscene between them.

Anyway Martlet is a pretty fun fight, and despite common opinion I think it's pretty fair since most of these attacks can be done really consistently if you put in the hours to practice, but it's probably a little overtuned for someone who might just be looking to clear the Geno run once.

Some problem patterns:

First phase:
1:38 - This yellow feather ring attack is pretty tricky and really unforgiving. Best success I've had with it is to dash through them in a sort of diamond shape. The angle they start aiming at you from is random which might force you to improv your starting point. Your shot can also randomly knock a few of them out before they can fire, which is nice, but that might screw up your rhythm. I'd say I mess this one up 2 out of 3 times which is pretty bad since it can show up pretty late in the fight. I actually mess it up this time too but manage to luck out with the iframe timings by spamming dash.

2:38 - The yellow feathers here are usually okay but they can randomly meme you by floating out of range or spreading out really far apart so that you can't shoot them all down. Have to improvise some dashes to deal with the small feathers afterwards if that happens which is always scary.

- The one attack where she summons a bunch of random items to drop on you. That one is super weird and it feels like the dash doesn't really work reliably during it(?) Thankfully it's pretty rare and maximising DPS early on reduces the chance this attack will show up, but if it does show up then the run is dead because I have never successfully dodged it. Always one or two stray hits. I feel like it'd be better if it was easier to tell which way the items would bounce when they hit the ground.

Second phase:
Aside from the 4x meteor attack (which is a freebie) and the big star attack (which is slow and easily routable), everything else here is really fast and at least reasonably tricky. None quite as bad as the problem patterns in phase 1, but I would say the average difficulty of each attack is higher. This phase is much shorter than phase 1 at least.

This fangame is free by the way and definitely worth checking out if you like Undertale. YouTube doesn't let me post links in the description anymore but it shouldn't be hard to find.
