Unfairly Hard Action Roguelike Soulslike With Nice Visuals | Aris Arcanum Demo Gameplay
1Hello everyone! We continue with more and more demos of the Steam Next Fest. This is Aris Arcanum, a game that mixes spellcasting action roguelike with soulslike mechanics, and it likes you to die over and over. I don't think this rhythm of action is bad by default, it can be challenging and enjoyable, but this is not the case. Even when they know your speed, stamina and range, they like to randomly surround you with enemies and constantly shoot fast projectiles, probably so you die and unlock more stuff over and over. It is not the learning curve, it is mostly that it is impossible until the game let it be possible (the first run is just a waste of time). It maybe is possible to beat during the first run, but, if it is, it is not enjoyable anyways.
STILL, this is just a demo, so maybe they will find the right balance.
