Continuing our Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Beginner's Guide series, we are taking a look at the Soviet Hammer Tank: Hammers are the strongest MBT (Main Battle Tank) in RA3, having superior stats that solidify Soviets as the land-based faction. Their special ability is to toggle to Leech Beam, a long-range, albeit weaker weapon which steals an enemy's health as well as weapon! Stolen secondary weapons are activated along with Hammer's main cannon, giving Hammer Tank tons of variations and utilities, depending on what weapons are attached.

All possible Hammer Tank stolen weapon upgrades are featured here, including those from Uprising! I sent a long time testing the stolen Aircraft Carrier drone :) Also did you know that MiGs, Apollos, and Cryo have hidden weapons Hammers can steal?

For strategy, Hammer Tanks can combo with Terror Drone's Stasis Ray stun to safely leech at a trapped target. Bullfrogs can protect Hammer, prevent enemies from escaping via transform, and can have its flak cannon transferred onto the Hammer if the Bullfrog is about to die.
