Continuing our Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Beginner's Guide series, we are taking a look at the Imperial Shogun Executioner: Shogun Executioners are Empire's campaign-exclusive epic unit. Their 3 heads each wields a Wave-force katana. A single sword slash can wipe out a massive area of even the bulkiest units and structures (Some can Survive one blade swing). The Executioner's special ability "Omega Shockwave" sends out a destructive surge of energy that decimates everything in a massive radius. Shogun Executioner absorbed tesla weapon attacks and is healed by them in the Empire campaign missions. While he is unable to attack air units, the Executioner can walk close to air units and knock them down. He is also able to walk over even heavy vehicles and structures. Being amphibious, the Executioner can walk into water and even crush ships.

For strategy (and trivia / Easter Eggs), there are many ways to eliminate the Shogun Executioner (although some of the techniques don't work in the Uprising expansion). Commandos can insta-kill the Executioner; Spy can bribe him to your side; Terror Drone's Stasis Ray, Hydrofoil's weapon Jammer, and Rocket Angel's Paralysis Whip can render the Executioner powerless; Support powers like Magnetic Satellite and the Allied Super Weapon Chronosphere teleport make short work of the Executioner; Not to mention Cryocopter's shrink ray, and especially the formidable King Sputnik, who is Executioner's hardest counter & natural predator...
