Unity is dead. Ever since they released the notice that they will be charging the developers of studios per download their game gets, has hit every dev hard, especially the mobile game devs who need to publish free games for the edge on the app store. This change is so bad in fact, that many developers, including myself, are switching engines. In my research I found these 3 free engines that are all viable options for a indie dev to switch to.
