This is a different side to religious rap. This has that slow burn Boldy James type poetic darkness to it without all the flash and flare of a mainstreamish budget and what not. Not to say the quality isn't here its just this project could not afford to take risks and is just giving you that straight to the point raps. The production is simple yet very dope, some very eery dark atmospheric samples just being looped to death. Then you have this dude just talking some real shit in a very poetic and blunt way. Talking that shit about his personal life and struggles, black history, religion, and the music industry. Its allot and honestly I was here for it, it made me want to dive as deep as he did when he lands the subject. It will open your mind but also brings a very meditative state to it that honestly hooked me. Throw this on for something to really dive into. RIP and in rotation.
