On paper this contrast should have been dynamite. Its not to say that it wasn't dope but I feel like this wasn't necessarily the production meant to make these 2 clash properly. Standalone Jamal J's meticulous, poetic, wordplay and lesson heavy style alongside Swizz's country slang, slow, creatively stretched, rule breaking style should have been perfect. The production is solid but its the one thing on this that consistently does not add variety outside of each loop sounding different for each song, other than that, no switchups, or changes to really make the 2 emcees shine. Again the production is still dope, it just seems to only favor one of the artists choices as far as what they lay down and it really doesn't highlight the fact that they are truly completely different artists. Its solid tho, solid pacing, great loops, solid feature, and great subject matter. This is extremely unique and honestly if this catches on, in the future I might even disagree with myself. Either way, in rotation.
