What you get when forge welding half wrench with a piece of 1070 high carbon steel? A wrench knife!
Totally unnecessary, very weird and funny looking! I bought the wrench for 1€ at a local flea market, un-branded old tool, probably drop forged out of some kind of high carbon steel, forge welded very well over a 3mm thick and 50mm wide 1070 (aka c70) high carbon steel flat bar.
The blade is differentially heat treated with edge hardness between 60 and 65 Rockwell.

7:35 Hardening: heat to 820°c and hold for 5 min
7:45 Quench in warm 70°c oil
8:14 Cleaned up with steel wire wheel on bench grinder
8:30 Tempered for 2hrs at 200°c
9:15 Hand sand to 220grit sandpaper
9:50 Etch in ferric chloride to reveal hamon line
10:00 Clean with fine steel whool
10:30 Final edge on slack part of belt grinder with fine belt
10:52 Strop on leather with fine polishing compound
