If you're not familiar with the game, this "trick" allows you to go back to an area with a powerful defensive item that shields the player from a healthy amount of incoming damage. I'm also using a rare consumable item that grants me temporary invisibility.
While Unreal can be played as a simple shooter, and was mostly designed as such, it is packed with a surpring amount of possible moments of player expression and interactivity like this. Makes you wonder if this is why this engine was chosen for Deus Ex in the first place :)
