Unreal Engine 5 - Dome Hitbox Issues & Collision Troubleshooting (Help Needed!)
Hello ^^
I’ve been stuck on this issue for days now, and honestly, I’m at the point where I feel like I have to stop working on this until I get help. I just can’t figure it out, and it’s getting frustrating.
I’m building a space station-style farming sim on the Moon in Unreal Engine 5. My setup consists of nine connected domes in a 3x3x3 layout, linked by small corridors. Everything is hollow inside, giving the player a livable space.
The problem? Collision is completely breaking my brain.
🔹 Some areas of the domes don’t have proper hitboxes, so players can just walk straight through the walls.
🔹 I tried manually adding custom collision pieces, but they never line up properly when I scale them in Unreal.
🔹 Since no one on the Unreal Fab store sells domes like mine, I couldn’t even buy one for inspiration to see how others handle collisions.
🔹 I had to teach myself how to make domes from scratch, and while I’ve learned a lot, this one issue has me completely stuck.
I recorded this video to show exactly what’s happening in hopes that someone with experience can help me fix this. If you know what I’m doing wrong or if there’s an easier way to approach this please let me know. Any advice would mean the world right now!
Thanks for watching!
