Unreal Engine 5 Project - WIP game
Decided to play around with UE5, and this is my progress so far (project started at 6th Nov 2023). I'm a noob and hadn't used UE5 before up until this point. I've used youtube videos and such to learn/do what I'm wanting (for now). I've basically just used the third person template and have been editing/tweaking stuff within that project. Nothing is final, this is all a work in progress, if all goes well I plan on releasing it (just a download unless I make what I think is a semi decent game worth selling *won't be for much*). I hadn't worked on the project today (9/11/23) but will get back into it tomorrow (hopefully). I did these as little previews to show my friends, so I downscaled the videos to 720p + lower bitrate, so if it looks a bit dodge in some parts, that is why (FB/Whatsapp/Viber upload limits). also for the first two clips, there is no audio as I had no music added in at the time.
I've created the model (I suck at characters, but low poly stuff I enjoy doing) and using animations and rigs from Mixamo.
Day 1 (6/11/23): *started project, followed a tutorial on how to have a idle and walk animation* Turns out I dun goof'd so I've got a new animation and changed a setting...sadly it just didn't work replacing the old animation..so gotta setup the blueprint again..but eh
Part 2 : wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.... *fixed up the animation*
Day 2 (7/11/23): *had to change the way I'd setup the idle+walk animtions* the character now has an idle, walk and now jump animation (may try add run, or may leave it)
Added rag doll (it's a little shit, but I'll try improve it) and button press to activate it
Added a reset button
Added a quit/end button
Added music to level
Part 2: Having a break for now, but quickly learnt how to add sounds to "actions"
Day 3 (8/11/23)
Only did a bit of work on this today, not as many hours but still a bit (due to getting distracted, and tinkering)
Improved rag doll (I've not finished setting/fixing up the hit points on the bones, but most are done *for the most part*).
Added the ability to run, as walking was getting a bit old.
Fixed camera (still not 100%)

Created a new texture (head) - Will try and have multiple skins for model for a character selection
Worked on changing the default box texture due to copyright shit thats easier to avoid to just not use it (Tooheys beer).
