This is just a little week progress of a little game project I started to do. I am going to attempt to make a game using Unreal Engine 5 (which is all new to me). So far I've made I think alright progress for someone who hasn't really worked with 3D game dev since around 2015/2017 or used Unreal Engine at all. I've mostly watched youtube videos and looked up reddit posts. I've broken, made mistakes on the way but so far..I'm winning.

Day 1 (6/11/23): *started project, followed a tutorial on how to have a idle and walk animation* Turns out I dun goof'd so I've got a new animation and changed a setting...sadly it just didn't work replacing the old animation..so gotta setup the blueprint again..but eh
Part 2 : wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.... *fixed up the animation*

Day 2 (7/11/23): *had to change the way I'd setup the idle+walk animtions* the character now has an idle, walk and now jump animation (may try add run, or may leave it)
Added rag doll (it's a little shit, but I'll try improve it) and button press to activate it
Added a reset button
Added a quit/end button
Added music to level
Part 2: Having a break for now, but quickly learnt how to add sounds to "actions"

Day 3 (8/11/23)
Only did a bit of work on this today, not as many hours but still a bit (due to getting distracted, and tinkering)
Improved rag doll (I've not finished setting/fixing up the hit points on the bones, but most are done *for the most part*).
Added the ability to run, as walking was getting a bit old.
Fixed camera (still not 100%)

Created a new texture (head) - Will try and have multiple skins for model for a character selection
Worked on changing the default box texture due to copyright shit thats easier to avoid to just not use it (Tooheys beer).

Day 4: (9/11/23)
added a new camera control (zooming in and out)
Added footsteps to walk+run+jump, I was going to have them on idle but they would play even if the player wasn't moving and was in ragdoll form. I plan on changing the landing of the jump in the future.
Removed most of the unused level and fixed up the pit (needing to add more bars still, but everything is aligned up better then it use to be).
Updated texture to Bacon's Beer
Added a trigger zone, so its much like how it is in UT2004. You can't jump on the bars and it kills you. So I've set it up to be like this too.
finished the rag doll setup
2nd part of the clip is showing the texture now fixed, it had some little brown box on the texture (yet wasn't on the texture itself) glad I fixed that as I wasn't finding any answers xD

Day 5: (10/11/23)
Changed textures on metal bars, walls and ground (not final)
Changed landing sound (no longer shares footstep sound clip)
Added/Changed footsteps. Randomly plays from 3 footstep clips
Added metal bar randomly generated sounds and added to models (had to recreate, which gave me a massive headache getting it to work with the sound, will place them into the pit tomorrow) looks like still a few kinks to deal with the metal sound/collider box

Day 6: (11/11/23)
Fixed up the pit + added my own textures
Moved the sunlight to light up the pit a bit more (will need lights)
Finished the metal bars placement
Recorded and Added more ragdoll sounds
Recorded and added (but not in use yet) an idle sound

Day 7 (13/11/23)
fixed audio issue that allows the sound to be played once again if player restarts.
Created a main menu.
Created a options menu (window mode, res, graphic settings and vsync options). Graphic settings seems to not be working, will need to figure that out.
