UNREAL TOURNAMENT 1999 ist ein futuristischer Ego-Shooter und der zweite Titel der Unreal-Spieleserie und wurde 1999 von GT Interactive veröffentlicht. Der Soundtrack des Spiels wurde (wie bereits bei Unreal) von Alexander Brandon, Michiel van den Bos, Dan Gardopée und Andrew Sega komponiert.

2000 wurde eine spezielle Game of the Year Edition (kurz: UT GotY) von Unreal Tournament veröffentlicht, die sich als Standardversion etablierte. UT GotY enthält viele neue Maps und einige neue Spielermodelle sowie die beiden Modifikationen Rocket Arena und Chaos UT.
