5"A quick round of Deathmatch on Unreal Tournament 2004 with Mods!"
UT2004 still stands as one of the greatest arena shooters ever made in my humble opinion. A worthy sequel to the legendary UT99 (albeit a baffling one coming off the back of UT2003 so quickly), it brought a fresh vibe and pace to the series as well as brand new game modes such as Onslaught and Bombing Run and featured the return of the fan favourite Assault mode. With so many mods to choose from to enhance the gameplay, it is a mainstay of my library and a game I always turn to for a quick blast.
As a side note, the mod used in this gameplay clip is pretty much as close as we ever got to a remastered Unreal Tournament 1999. However with Nightdive Studios on such a tear at the moment....perhaps the future may yet hold some more from the classic Unreal games. One can only hope! =)
