Untested Dell Inspiron 8100 overview
0The story: I found this up for bid and it didn't attract any bidders two times. I forgot about it and came across it again with 8 minutes left so i bid on it and won. I knew it would work and was right, because i assumed since the seller only had one other laptop for sale, he didn't have he right ac adapter to test it. And luckily it has it's original hard drive.
It probably shipped late 2001 because of the dates some of the parts were made. As usual the service tag gave no info. Windows XP seems to have been reinstalled in 2005.

LCD: 44th week (October) 2001
Floppy drive: September 2001
Recorded 10/4 and 10/5/2023. I glued the right palmrest insets with flex shot, which smelled bad for awhile because i was using the laptop and it was hot just idling at the desktop.
Early morning 10/10/2023 the left fan wasn't working, then i looked again later and it was. I thought they both run at the same time (my 8200 does) but i guess not? I have a new old stock one i got for the first (and more expensive) Inspiron 8200, the one that quit detecting hard drives.
