We have already seen several spy shots of the Chinese Kia K5 specification, known in some markets as Kia Optima, and today the first official snapshots showing some interesting differences have appeared. The most significant improvements are noted inside, where the digital instrument panel and infotainment system are located under one glass, similar to the recently announced Hyundai Elantra.
As for the exterior design, the front and rear are also modernized: the Kia K5 received revised front and rear bumpers, as well as a new radiator grille from the Korean version of K5. Most of the details are still not disclosed.
In addition, a line of powertrains has leaked, which shows the new engines that the Chinese version of the Kia K5 will receive. Thus, the new product will be responsible for the performance of 1.5 T-GDi with a capacity of 170 hp, which recently debuted on a restyled Hyundai i30, as well as 2.0 T-GDi with a capacity of 240 hp. Both engines are available with a 7-speed DCT and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
