It is definitely fun to dip into Aethermancer, and it comes from a good pedigree too (the developer made my favorite monster collector: Monster Sanctuary). While I am interested in seeing how far the game goes on release, I do have to say I kind of wish we had the core of this game with a more story driven rather than roguelite experience so the same level of monster customization would be available.
