I always had problems working out where the safespot is for this boss, but I just realised that you can use the dead tree as a line of aggro, and take steps between that spot and a safe spot in order to kill the boss without any risk and without taking any damage

This is the best way by far to safespot the Khazard Warlord during Tree Gnome Village as a HCIM
